PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma is used by extracting blood from the patient and taking the platelets for the stimulation and acceleration of tissue healing and regeneration. It can be used for various treatments such as facials (Vampire Facials), Implants (bone regeneration) and hair loss.

PRP-Facial

This is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment. PRP treatments are mainly used on the face, especially around the eyes, nose, but can be used on the hands, head and over the body.

Benefits of PRP Facial

- Reduces fine lines and wrinkles

- Tightens and tones the skin

- Crow’s feet and dark under-eye circles

- Acne scarring

- Rosacea

Treatment

A small amount of blood is taken from the patient, put into a centrifuge machine and spun for a few minutes at high speed, a sterile syringe will then be used to draw the platelet rich plasma from the sample and then the PRP is injected into the areas of the skin where required and the surrounding cells will reproduce. The whole procedure only involves needle injections to the desired areas. Patients will feel immediate effects after the treatment and the following few weeks the collagen will begin to grow and generate healthy cells under the skin. You may be advised to have a course of PRP, usually 3 sessions for maximum results.

Pre and Post treatment

Prepare your skin as advised by your skin care professional. Avoid waxing or laser for 48 hours prior to treatment. If you use any products containing Vita Glycolic as part of your skin care, you will be asked to stop 7 days prior to your treatment. Avoid anti-inflammatories and alcohol for 48 hours prior to treatment as can increase a chance of bruising. You will be given post treatment instructions from your skin care professional.

PRP-Hair Loss

Platelet Rich Plasma can be used in the same way as on the face, the injected platelets prompt inactive hair follicles to enter an active growth phase, causing hair to start growing again.

PRGF-Plasma Rich Growth Factors with Dental Implants

Plasma rich growth factor is an excellent option for patients who want to have dental implants, but their bone density is not enough to support the implant. It is a safe, tested and effective alternative to complicated bone graft procedures with treatment time less. This treatment can also be used to treat gum defects.

Patients can benefit from a combined use of implants and PRGF which may help with an earlier recovery time and healing process. PRGF may reduce swelling and pain and will provide antibacterial protection from infection.

Treatment

1.We will take a small amount of blood

2.Put the blood through a centrifuge machine which will produce the plasma rich growth factors

3.The PRGF material is prepared in the appropriate format for your treatment- liquid, gel or fibrin membrane depending on what it will be used for and then placed accordingly.

Benefits

Speed up healing time and is quicker than standard bone graft treatment for dental implants Naturally antibacterial- reduces risk of infection Requires no complex or invasive procedures and is a natural painkiller.

Our Dental Team is fully trained in using PRGF technology, which will give you the best results from our treatments.
